Ines buys… hair accessories!

Spend a day in Japan and you’ll notice that women here rarely leave the house with messy hair. It’s either worn lose and straight or with perfectly executed waves, or it’s tied up. However, Japanese women don’t merely tie their hair up with a plain elastic. Oh no, they accessorize. And how!

The sheer variety available is overwhelming! From giant hair clips to fluffy hairbands, there seems to be no apparent end to the amount of options you can choose from. Just for you to have a small idea, here’s a picture of one display of one of the many accessory shops around my flat.


Amazed, I slowly started buying some clips and hairbands, just trying them out. I’m not one to spend a long time getting ready in the morning, so I was never one to accessorize much, especially not my hair. But the more I wore them, the more I enjoyed it, and the more I realised that it wasn’t as time consuming as I had imagined. So, in the end, here are the ones I got:
